"After the late 90s Yoga boom, Nike introduced its first Yoga shoe, the Air Kyoto, in 2002. Inspired by Kyoto's Zen gardens, especially the meticulously raked gravel patterns of the rock and sand gardens, former creative director Martin Lotti designed the shoe after a visit to Japan. Despite Yoga typically being done barefoot, the Air Kyoto, approved by Global Footwear Director Darcy Winslow, exceeded expectations and became a historic piece of footwear. Winslow believed enhancing performance in Yoga was essential, as she felt it could be practiced on various surfaces, with or without a mat."
Et voila! This pair of Kyoto is in all black, with white swoosh on the side. Overall condition is stellar; we'd recommend them for light use, as potentially with age (they're over 20 years old!) the sole could start to come a little loose.
